Black Mesa Incident (PART SIX)
Gordon entered a two-way hall. Dr. Magnusson, another one of Gordon's colleagues, somehow survived and was hiding in a dumpster. Gordon wasn't exactly sure why there was a dumpster indoors instead of outdoors where they belong. The foul smell would fill the entire facility in a matter of time!
"It's disgusting in here, but it's better than getting eaten alive by aliens!" Magnusson exclaimed.
And, speak of the devil, Gordon heard the sound of crawling coming from above. The door from a vent shaft busted open, and out came a zombie. It groaned as it fell and hit the floor, seemingly unharmed.
Tough zombie, Gordon thought, but not tough enough.
Before the zombie could swipe its sharp claws at Magnusson, who was now panicking inside the dumpster, Gordon pulled out his mighty and trusty crowbar, and threw it at the zombie's head as if it were a spear.
As expected, the crowbar impaled the back of the zombie's head, but, remember when I said that zombies' heads were NOT actually THEIR heads, and instead it was a headcrab infecting a human? Well, the headcrab that was infecting the zombie, jumped off the head as if a helmet came to life and it scattered around and bled green goo all over the floor. The zombie toppled to the floor, indicating its death, because without the host, which is the headcrab, all it was is just a regular mutilated corpse of an unfortunate scientist who didn't duck in time.
Gordon ran over to the headcrab and finished it off by stomping on it. He grabbed the crowbar and pulled it out the dead headcrab. Its blood dripped off the tip of the crowbar.
Dr. Magnusson peeked his head out of the dumpster and thanked Gordon. Before Magnusson could climb out of the dumpster, hoping that he could continue his journey with Gordon, ANOTHER zombie came out of the same vent!
Before Gordon had time to pull out his crowbar, the zombie grabbed Magnusson firmly by his shoulders, and shoved him inside its chest cavity. The zombie had a large opening on its chest, with sharp teeth. It looked like another mouth was on its chest. Magnusson was shoved inside the zombie as if he were in a costume!
Magnusson screamed in pure agony as the zombie closed its chest cavity. Gordon could hear Magnusson's muffled voice get hoarse.
Oh, God. Magnusson is getting digested! Gordon thought.
Gordon was scared, but then his fear grew into anger. He pulled out his shotgun, and aimed for the head.
BAM! The headcrab on the zombie EXPLODED into little headcrab bones and muscle tissue. The green blood splattered all over the place. A few drops landed on Gordon's glasses.
Unphased, Gordon took them off, wiped the blood off with his bare hands, and put the glasses back on. They were still a bit smeared, but he was okay with it.
He walked up to the corpse, and opened the chest cavity. It was quite grotesque.
However, Gordon did not see Dr. Magnusson in there. He only saw his skeleton. Gordon gagged. It was too late.
He trudged off, disappointed.
Gordon heard the voice of Dr. Kleiner coming from an air vent on the wall. Gordon looked at it and saw Kleiner's face inside the vent, with a relieved emotion.
Before Gordon could help Kleiner out, a marine came out of nowhere.
The marine wore army clothes and a utility cap. A white tag on his camouflage shirt read "COMMANDER".
"Mister, you're goin' DOWN!!!" shouted the marine.
The marine aimed his P90 at Gordon. Before the marine could shoot, Gordon dived out of the way, and took cover around the corner.
"YOU THINK YOU CAN HIDE FROM ME, WIMP?"
Gordon frantically pulled out his heavy shotgun, and reloaded it. He got up, and waited for the marine to go around the corner.
Even though the marine did not see that Gordon was armed, he knew that he had a weapon with him. He felt it in his gut.
The marine pretended to leave and said, "Ugh, nevermind. I don't wanna waste my time on some scientist, anyway."
The marine heavily stomped on the ground, and decreased how hard he was stomping to give the auditory illusion that he was walking away.
Gordon wasn't stupid. He knew he was being tricked.
Before making a move, Gordon saw a crate of grenades next to him. He grabbed one, pulled off the pin, and threw it around the corner...
