The BACKROOMS Explained

The Backrooms is an infinite maze of yellow hallways and florescent buzzing lights. This liminal space includes entities (monsters) living in it, scattered in different parts. Getting lost in this place is extremely easy, so be careful.

The Backrooms is not a simulation or a man-made place, and if you are unlucky, you might somehow "slip" or "noclip" (phase) into it.

This horrifying and sanity-draining place is not in this reality. Yet, there is this tiny loophole that exists in a very random spot in the entire world, and if you happen to go through it, there is a chance you will end up in the Backrooms OR if you are lucky, which is very, very, extremely occasional, you will just teleport to a nearby spot in the world, still being in reality.

Assuming you watched the whole video, a cameraman is recording a film and when he walks backwards he trips. Doing so, he noclips into the Backrooms. He encounters an entity stalking him and chasing him, and he sees infinite yellow halls.

In most games, such as Garry's Mod, every NPC (non-player character) either has navigation code using navmesh or nodes. What is a navmesh? A navmesh code is when an NPC calculates how to get somewhere. Let's say we have an NPC whose goal is to get to a certain object. Navmesh squares , which are invisible 20x20 metered ground squares, allow the navmesh NPC to get to the object. "Mom? Are you sure there's nothing in the wardrobe?" a boy named Tim asked. "There's nothing, sweetie, now go to sleep. You have school tommorow." Tim's mother said. She turned off the light as she walked out the bedroom.  Tim was left sleeping on his bed, staring at his wardrobe. "There's nothing in there," he assured himself.
