Black Mesa Incident [PART THREE]

After the Resonance Cascade (which is a mix of scientific, disrupting, and physically dangerous conundrums) and after Dr. Gordon Freeman left the test chamber, he now had to survive the results of the Resonance Cascade.

Gordon was blocked by a door that could only open if you put your eyes on a scanner. If it recognizes your eyes, it will let you in. Unfortunately, none of the doors had Gordon's eyes memorized. Luckily, though, the electric zaps from the spectrometer fiddled with the electricity, so the door opened and closed and opened and closed over and over again due to messed up wires.

Gordon went in a hallway with a small lift at the end of it. He went on the lift and it took him to the Test Balcony Watch. As soon as Gordon stepped off the lift, the lift broke and fell due to electricity problems. He made a sigh of relief and nervously proceeded.

He saw Dr. Harrison, with his foot crushed, crawling on the floor, bleeding. He said, "G-Gordon... you must get out of here..." and then, out of blood loss, his head plopped on the floor, and he was dead.

Gordon opened a door in front of him, and saw Dr. Kleiner panicking in the Test Balcony Watch. He yelled, "Gordon! Thank goodness you're okay! I thought-" But before he could finish his sentence, a large electric bolt zapped through the window, hitting the wall. Suddenly, a whole bunch of bolts began zapping at the room. Dr. Kleiner quickly opened the eye scanner door behind him. The good news is, the door opened. The bad news is, Dr. Kleiner got zapped by a bolt as soon as he did. Dr. Kleiner literally exploded when the bolt hit him. His organs were everywhere. Gordon quickly ran out the room before any bolts hit him.

Gordon found himself in a big room with Dr. Vance putting a bandage on Dr. Wyesson's leg. Dr. Vance saw Gordon. "Oh, Gordon! Thank goodness your okay. Wyesson here has his leg scraped, and I'm just patching him up," Dr. Vance said, "I just KNEW something would go wrong. Our equipment was acting strange before the test."

Gordon walked away to yet another eye scanner door. Dr. Vance, after healing Dr. Wyesson, came over to Gordon and opened the door for him. Gordon proceeded in a room with broken equipment everywhere.

Suddenly, an air vent above him broke and a small creature fell on him. Gordon flinched and threw the creature off his head. He immediately knew what the creature was. It was a headcrab. If you want to know what a headcrab looks like, think of a raw chicken. Now make its body more round, with it crawling on its four sharp legs. The creature was not big, though. It was roughly the size of a basketball. Despite its size, it can do serious damage. It is capable of lunging at someone's head and latching onto the head, earning its name, "Headcrab."

After latching onto a head, it will begin getting inside the person's brain, corrupting it, and turning the person into a zombie. In other words, the headcrab was a moving parasite.

The headcrab lunged at Gordon, but with quick reflexes, dodged it. Gordon quickly ran out the room before the headcrab could try any other attacks.

Who knows what other problems (or alien encounters) Gordon had to face next.

All we know is that, in the next part, Gordon will be getting a bit of... weaponry.
