The Utopia

Today was the day. It was Escape Day, not an actual day named by the community of Tholothia, but it was a day named by a certain citizen, Mike Schmidt.

Tholothia was a dystopian country, owned by StarHorrors. StarHorrors was the king's nickname; his real name was unknown. Mike just about had it with being under surveillance for every millisecond of his entire life. The word "privacy" was not a word mentioned in Tholothia. Not that the word "privacy" is a forbidden word, it just means there is none of that there. The MTF units were holding their MP40s, all locked and loaded, looking through peoples' windows, while marching on the sidewalks. What felt like trillions of surveillance cameras were activated twenty-four hours a day, keeping an eye on every moving object, even the flying leaves get detected.

Although being packed and ready to escape, Mike stared outside his window, thinking about what where he was going to go when free. His thoughts were interrupted when he saw an MTF guard walk into a citizen's house. The guard then, for some reason, shot the citizen dead. Mike was petrified and ducked, staying out of view. Why did he do that? What did the citizen do to deserve that?

Mike then realized he better get going. He grabbed his backpack, put on his hoodie, and left his house. As usual, fifty cameras immediately began watching his every move. He started to pick up pace, but instead of slowing down as to not look suspicious to the people watching him through the cameras, he started running. The MTF unit saw him and started chasing after him. He ran and ran, until he reached the mountains at the borders of the country. The MTF units were closing in on him yelling at him to stop, but he kept going. Bullets were whizzing past him and Mike kept ducking and dodging and running as fast as he could! He got to the top of the mountain, tore open his backpack and quickly took out his flying contraption that he'd been working on for the past several months. He hooked it up to his back, switched it on, and just as the MTF were about to reach him, Mike jumped off the top of the mountain. He was FREE!

After flying for about half an hour, Mike saw a huge forest. He landed gently and turned it off. Mike looked all around. He spotted a family of red squirells collecting cones in preparation for winter. Mike walked, with the sounds of leaves crunching underneath his black, untied shoes.

Mike ventured through the forest, and saw a huge waterfall. The sound of the water relaxed him. I guess living in a horrible country does something to a person, he thought. He loved and appreciated the sound more than anything.

But suddenly, he heard what sounded like a lot of people talking and laughing. He tried to find the source of the sound, walking around until the sound got louder, but then he realized its coming from the waterfall. He then took off his hoodie, leaving him with a tank top and shorts, then walked through the waterfall. He was greeted with the most beautiful place he'd ever seen!

Mike stood in a beautiful sci-fi looking city. There was a massive gate in front of him, with a sign on it saying, "WELCOME TO BLISSVILLIE!"The city looked like it was from the future. He saw happy people flying in futuristic-looking small aircrafts. Others were walking and talking and laughing. The city had no cars, the sky looked completely clean, and there was a LOT of green grass, trees, plants and flowers. The buildings looked cool, and some were apartment houses with people sitting on their balconies, admiring the view. A couple was sitting on one balcony, and above them was another couple who looked down to the first couple and told them,
"Hey, Jerry! Melissa! Mind if we come down and have a cup of coffee?"
"'Sup, Harold! Sure! The coffee maker's up and ready!"
Mike's heart warmed at the wholesome people and the beautiful, utopic city he was standing in.

Mike sat on a nearby bench. A woman walked by and said to him, "Good afternoon!"
Mike replied with "Good afternoon to you too, ma'am."
He saw men walking out of a building, talking to each other and laughing. One of the men told the others, "Man, I love my job! How's the architecture goin', Matt?"
"Oh, it's good. It's fine. I made lots of money."
"Me too!"
"Yeah, me too."
"Me three!"
"Hey, you boys up for a nice, hot, cup of Joe?"
"Sign me up!"
"Alright!"

Mike enjoyed watching peoples' every day lives. There were no cameras watching them, and no MTF units shooting everyone they see for no reason at all. Suddenly, Mike saw a man walking up to him, with a suprised and happy look on his face.
"Michael? Oh my God! It really IS you, man!" the man said.
Mike recognized him immediately. "FRED! Goodness, where've you been? The day you went missing back in Tholothia, everyone thought you were DEAD!"
Fred smiled and said, "Yeah, no one knew that I escaped Tholothia and came here.
Hey Mike! I know EVERYTHING about this place! C'mere, lemme show you around, maybe you'll buy a home, and get an awesome job of your dreams!"
"Oh heck yeah, man!" So Mike and Fred walked off happily.

Mike couldn't wait to start his brand new life and see what Blissville had in store for him!
